This year is going to be AMAZING!
Koda and I have been working very hard this winter! Mostly on slowing down, and dressage, and we have improved! I started taking him on long trail rides. It’s great to get out of the ring (which I never ride in anyways…) and Koda LOVES it. A friend and I took Koda and her horse, Bo, to Mammoth Cave for a trail ride. We were on for 4 hours! It was beautiful there, lots of streams, bridges, trees, and waterfalls. Koda was so relaxed. Since then we’ve been going on trail rides 1-2 times per week and, as a result, he has been much more pleasant to work with!
I’ve started riding bareback more. It. Is. So. FUN. Minus the giant withers… Koda’s got a really fun jump anyways, but it is such a big rush to jump him bareback! Last time we jumped bareback we got up to 4ft.. O.o
I only have pictures up to 3ft9in before the camera died. But he was amazing!
AND… February is looking like it will be a VERY exciting month! Won’t say anything now as I don’t want to jinx anything, but stay tuned!
